Ecuador’s Invincible Military: Photo Gallery

Posted on September 23rd, 2010

Ecuador has implemented Invincible Defense Technology (IDT) by establishing a Prevention Wing of the military. This Wing practices the Transcendental Meditation technique and its advanced programs daily in large groups. The group is sufficiently large (greater than the square root of 1% of the population) to create invincibility for the country.

The text below is taken from a report by Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Gunter Chassé, Deputy Minister of Defense for the Global Country of World Peace.

Prevention Wing of Yogic Flyers in the Ecuadorian Armed Forces

Ecuador has four military services: the army, navy, air force and the military police. The military police branch was chosen to establish the Prevention Wing to make Ecuador invincible. With a population of 14.5 million, Ecuador needs 382 IDT experts to achieve the required group size (the square root of one percent of the population). A commander with the rank of General was very receptive to this idea. So he made the decision to start the project on March 8th, 2010.

Test Case as a First Step
As a test case, the General selected two units from training centers where young soldiers receive their six months’ basic military training before they are sent to operational units. Each training unit has 300 soldiers who were taught the Transcendental Meditation technique, and 200 in each unit are now IDT experts. The General set the time and place for the soldiers to practice their program in a group in accordance with their duty routine.
Test Results Were Very Satisfying

After one month of practice, a test was done together with army psychologists in order to check the validity of the program. Here is a summary of the soldiers’ statements:

  • 96 % thought it was a very practical activity
  • 95 % said it was completely satisfying
  • 92 % declared they improved dealing with stress and had better performance in their actions
  • 96 % declared their relationships with others improved.

Implementation at the Military Academy

Based on these test results, the General made two decisions:

  1. The Transcendental Meditation technique and its advanced practices (the practical aspects of IDT) should be taught to the soldiers of the two training units to achieve invincibility for Ecuador right away.
  2. Implementation of the program at the national academy during the students’ four years of training for the young officers should be considered.

The General appointed new officers to participate in the program, and currently 339 are becoming IDT experts. Another 400 will be added later in the year so that there will be 739 IDT experts at the academy. They can be added to the 2×200 IDT experts at the training centers for a total of 1,139 IDT experts later in the year. The goal is to have at least 1,000 IDT experts regularly practicing the program.

Training Program at the Academy

In addition to group practice of the Transcendental Meditation technique and its advanced programs, the training program at the academy will now include weekly hour-long lectures about theory of invincibility during all four years of training. The Transcendental Meditation Teacher Training Course (TTC) will also be incorporated as part of the curriculum so that the military will have its own TM Teachers. This will ensure that the IDT program will go on permanently and the required number of IDT experts will always be available. This program has already started at the academy for cadets who are between 19 to 24 years of age.

How to End Terrorism & War

About a Consciousness-Based Defense System

Do you want war? Deep down, nobody wants war, because it invariably involves killing fellow humans. Religious traditions largely prohibit the taking of lives. Yet wars have happened for thousands of years. Is there a way to end terrorism and war? Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the well-known Hindu Guru, Vedic scholar and physicist who revived the Transcendental Meditation technique from India’s ancient Vedic tradition, has the answer!

Maharishi’s Vedic Technology of Invincible Defence (MVTID) is a scientifically validated means to maintain homeland security without the need for killing or destruction. It has it origins in an ancient branch of Vedic literature called Dhanur-Veda. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, along with other Vedic scholars and leading defense experts, are reviving and reconstructing the preventive aspects of this ancient military science to end terrorism and war.

It’s a Non-Religious Technique!

The primary component of this revival is the use of the Transcendental Meditation (TM) and TM-Sidhi programs to reduce stress both on the individual and societal levels. In spite of its Vedic origins the TM program does not require Hindu beliefs. Over five million people of all faith or no faith, worldwide have learned this non-religious technique.

How Does It Work?

Maharishi’s Vedic Technology of Invincible Defence works on the theory that consciousness is the same Unified Field as described by modern quantum physics. The more stress in the collective consciousness of societies and nations, the more conflict in the world. Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi programs reduce stress in collective consciousness by creating an influence of coherence from the level of the Unified Field. If collective stress in society is dissolved before it erupts into violence, terrorism and war, then nations can create victory before war by preventing enemies from arising.

Studies published in leading peer-reviewed journals indicate that when one percent of the population practices the TM program, problems such as war, terrorism, and crime are alleviated. (Note: The more advanced TM-Sidhi program requires much smaller numbers-just the square root of 1% of the population practicing the technique together in large groups.) Scientists call the increased societal coherence that apparently results from these programs “the Maharishi Effect.”

Its Vedic Origin

Maharishi often quotes two verses from the Vedic tradition when discussing the use of TM and TM-Sidhi programs to create the Vedic ideal of a prevention-oriented defense:

Tat sannidhau vairatyagah. (Yog-Sutra, 2.35)

In the vicinity of Yogic influence-unifying influence, integrating influence, coherent and harmonious influence-conflicting tendencies do not arise.

Heyam duhkham anagatam. (Yog-Sutra, 2.16)

Avert the danger before it arises.

Should We Practice Invincible Defence?

In spite of more than 50 research studies on the Maharishi Effect (many published in leading journals such as The Journal of Conflict Resolution, Journal of Crime and Justice, Journal of Mind and Behavior, Social Indicators Research, Journal of Crime and Behavior, and Psychology, Crime, and Law) why does the world still face war and terrorism? Maharishi’s Vedic Technology of Invincible Defence has not been adopted on a large enough scale to prevent war and terrorism worldwide. This technology faces political and social hurdles, mainly due to its simplicity.

Scientists at the Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy (ISTPP) are encouraging every country to train only two to three per cent (2-3%) of their military personnel to create a Consciousness-Based defense program that they are calling Prevention Wings of the Military. These military units would be given an additional group duty of practicing the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi program twice daily.”

The Mozambique Example

So far, one country has publicly adopted Maharishi’s Vedic Technology of Invincible Defense—Mozambique in the 1990’s. Mozambique reported great success in preventing the return of civil war, as well as reduced crime rates. Meanwhile, according to an article published in U.S. Medicine, several governments are considering deploying Maharishi’s Vedic Technology of Invincible Defense. Retired Maj. Gen. Kulwant Singh, Ph.D., formerly a leading terrorism expert in the Indian Army, verified this on a world tour promoting this novel approach to ensuring homeland security.

General Singh and other leading scientists also gave press conferences and met American civil and military leaders, urging them to adopt this invincible defense strategy. “Today, the world is looking for a solution to violence and terrorism,” Dr. Singh said. “But bombs will never bring peace. Violence begets violence. I can speak this with the conviction of 35 years experience of fighting terrorism. If you want to bring peace, you must reduce the cause of violence, and that is stress in society.”

The End of Destructive Defense

The military has started to take notice of the notion of consciousness-based defense. Military publications including Britain’s Jane’s Defence Daily recently introduced the idea by several full-page advertisements. Along with the usual ads for conventional weapons—tanks, bombs, and armored aircraft—the paper carried flashy ads promoting consciousness-based defense. Just hoping that some day the world would be free from all fears of terrorism.

Ecuador Leads the Race to”Inner Space”with Invincible Defense Technology

Posted on July 3rd, 2010

Congratulations to the military of Ecuador! It has made history by leading the race to “inner space.” It is ahead over the three other Latin American countries that are still in the process of forming their Prevention Wings of the Military. The military of Ecuador is now invincible (incapable of creating any enemies) because its Prevention Wing of the Military became fully operational just days ago.

Creating Stability in Nepal: A New Military Approach Using Ancient Vedic Technologies

As former Home Minister I have a unique perspective on the current problems facing Nepal, especially in the current political stalemate that has crippled our country. There is a pervasive lack of harmony and coherence from which no progress seems possible. In our military, however, we have order, chain of command, and coherence that can be used in an unconventional and non-confrontational way to the benefit of Nepal. Our military troops stand ready to follow the orders of their superiors. If the commanders think and plan clearly for the well-being of the nation, the troops will follow.

During the last 25 years, a powerful, innovative approach to national defense and international peace has been extensively field tested – in the Middle East and throughout the world. It is a direct technological application of the most advanced discoveries in the fields of quantum mechanics, neuroscience, and human consciousness. The consistent result of its implementation has been dramatic reductions in terrorism, war, and other social violence. These findings have been replicated, published in leading academic journals, and endorsed by hundreds of independent scientists and scholars. The efficacy of this approach is now beyond question.

These studies verify that the scientific knowledge and technologies are now available to end terrorism and conflict, to achieve indomitable national strength and security, and to create permanent world peace. By implementing these technologies, which are a modern application of ancient Vedic technologies of consciousness, every government can secure the peace and safety of its citizens. But the time to act is now.

For the entire recorded history of Nepal, our nation has remained independent. Even when our giant to the south, India, was completely colonized by the British, Nepal remained a free nation. In those days the people of Nepal followed all Vedic rules and regulations, with traditional Vedic performances creating a shield of invincibility called rashtriya kavach for their country. Now, once again, we can harness these ancient technologies to bring coherence to our nation. True invincibility ultimately can only be achieved when enemies become friends and future enemies can be prevented from arising.

These non-religious Vedic technologies of consciousness have been successfully applied by members of many faiths worldwide to produce societal coherence and eliminate conflict. For instance, the approach was field-tested by the militaries of Mozambique and Ecuador, and now four countries in Latin America in Latin America are deploying it via “Prevention Wings of the Military”- large groups of soldiers who have been trained in these Vedic technologies of consciousness, including the Transcendental Meditation (TM) and TM-Sidhi program. When used in a military context, these Vedic meditation practices are known as Invincible Defence Technology (IDT). If the military of Nepal were to apply these non-lethal and non-destructive technologies, it could reduce the collective societal stress that is ultimately responsible for our incoherent government.

I am now the Chairman of the Nepal Maharishi Vedic Foundation. For over one year we have been harnessing this scientifically verified and time-honored and tested tradition of Vedic Science to bring coherence, harmony, and invincibility to the nation. We teach the Transcendental Meditation (TM) program to bring peace to individuals and the nation as a whole. In addition we are employing Vedic Brahmin Pandits to perform Yagya daily at our Center with the stated intention (Sankalpa) to bring perpetual peace and invincibility to Nepal.

Can the military of Nepal have a hand in this? Yes, it most certainly can! Our soldiers could practice the TM technique and its advanced TM-Sidhi program in a large group each day. Extensive scientific research has shown repeatedly that the establishment of large national groups of peace-creating experts practicing the TM-Sidhi program, as revived and taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, can neutralize acute ethnic, political, and religious tensions that fuel violence, terrorism, and social conflict. By defusing tensions and neutralizing animosity, this field-tested approach will immediately create a fertile environment in which diplomatic and other conventional approaches to peace can actually succeed.

On the individual level, IDT will help our warriors to become more effective and efficient in carrying out their military duties and responsibilities (see Part I of “Supreme Military Science: Myth or Reality?” published by India Defence Consultants). But more importantly, in their collective role as protectors of our great nation, they could be practicing IDT in a large group, thereby creating desperately needed social coherence that in turn would give rise to harmony and peace for Nepal. Our military commanders need only introduce a little of our cherished Vedic Technology to yield great results both for their soldiers and our nation.

Creating societal coherence through Vedic Technology is not a fantasy but a scientifically validated reality. Over 50 research studies confirm that when the required threshold of IDT experts is crossed – approximately the square root of 1% of a given population – crime goes down, quality of life indices go up, and war and terrorism abate. For instance, in 1993, a two-month intervention study of this collective stress-reducing approach was implemented and studied in Washington, D.C. Predictions of specific drops in crime and other indices were lodged in advance with government leaders and newspapers. The research protocol was approved by an independent Project Review Board. The findings showed that public approval of the U.S. president suddenly changed from a negative trend to a positive trend, as predicted (p<.00002). (If IDT were to be used in Nepal, a similar positive change would likely occur for our current president Dr. Ram Baran Yadav.) Crime fell 24 percent below the predicted level when the peace-creating group reached its maximum size. Temperature, weekend effects, or previous trends in the data failed to account for these changes. This research was published in the peer-reviewed Social Indicators Research (1999, vol. 47, 153-201).

Collective stress reduction was also documented on a global scale in a study using Rand Corporation data and published in the Journal of Offender Rehabilitation (2003, vol. 36, 283-302). When assemblies of IDT experts exceeded the critical threshold for the world (about 7,000 at that time) during the years 1983-1985, terrorism globally decreased 72%, international conflict decreased 32%, and violence in nations was reduced without intrusion by other governments.

How might these profound effects on society be explained? IDT’s causal mechanism is not completely understood. The mechanism has been postulated to be a field effect of consciousness – a spillover effect on the level of the unified field from the peace-creating group into the larger population. An explanation of the causality of IDT in biological terms was proposed in a study in the Journal of Social Behavior and Personality (Walton et al. 2005, 17: 339-373). Serotonin, a powerful neurotransmitter, has been shown to produce feelings of happiness, contentment, and even euphoria. Research indicates that low levels of serotonin correlate with aggression, poor emotional moods, and violence. The study indicated that when the size of a group of IDT experts changed, serotonin production of people in the nearby community changed correspondingly. Since results were statistically significant, this study offers a plausible neurophysiologic mechanism that may explain reduced aggression and hostility in a whole society.

An increase in serotonin activity and a decrease in cortisol appear to be byproducts of the direct experience of a fourth major state of consciousness, known as transcendental consciousness, in individual TM practitioners. This experience, physiologically distinct from waking, sleeping, and dreaming, is correlated with global EEG coherence throughout the brain, profound rest for the body, and the direct subjective experience of pure consciousness, the unified field at the basis of all laws of nature. The Transcendental Meditation practice is a systematic technology to turn human awareness effortlessly within to experience and explore finer levels of mental activity. The experience of these deeper levels of human intelligence corresponds to the experience of deeper levels of intelligence in nature. This inward exploration of consciousness culminates in the direct experience of the deepest level of consciousness – the simplest, silent, settled state of human awareness, sometimes called the state of pure consciousness, in which the human mind identifies with the unified field of all the laws of nature – the field of unity at the basis of mind and matter. By enlivening the unified field, this experience of transcendental consciousness generates an influence of coherence on the level of the unified field, thereby creating harmony and peace throughout society, as extensive research has confirmed. IDT appears to operate from this fundamental level of nature’s functioning.

However, the leaders of Nepal should not wait until scientists know for certain how IDT works before making use of this scientifically field-tested approach to peace. The value of technology is in its practical applications. We may not know how electricity works, but we can still turn on a light switch and enjoy the benefits. Likewise, we can use the Vedic technologies of consciousness now to protect Nepal during the present dangerous time of instability. The high degree of collective societal stress in Nepal, which fuels the pervasive lack of harmony and coherence in the current political climate, not only severely cripples our country but also leaves us in a weakened state where potential adversaries might be tempted to take advantage of our precarious situation. So in reality, collective stress in Nepal is our most dangerous enemy. The military of Nepal is charged with the responsibility to defend the country from all enemies foreign and domestic. As part of its responsibility to protect our nation, it is obligated to thoroughly examine realistic, scientifically proven methods to defend our great country. The military of Nepal can now succeed in this mission simply by creating and maintaining a Prevention Wing of the Military of about 650 Invincible Defense Technology (IDT) experts. Moreover, since the military and military personnel are funded by the government, a Prevention Wing of the Military would not be subject to the fluctuations in size that often affect civilian IDT groups, where participation may be influenced by finances, job demands, graduations, and optional activities.

Nepalese army Lieutenant Colonel Jitendra Jung Karki has already explained how Nepal could benefit from Invincible Defense Technology in his 2008 groundbreaking article “Invincible Nepal: An Ancient Vedic Technology for Modern Security Challenges of Nepal” published in the Nepalese military periodical Shreenath Journal. It describes how all areas of society will be simultaneously enriched by this holistically life-supporting, life-benefiting technology. IDT is enormously effective and cost-effective, and the results are immediate. All that is necessary is to provide the proper training for a group of military personnel – or indeed any large group within the country. Nepal has the opportunity today through IDT to create a coherent government, national security, invincibility, and lasting peace.

Ending Tensions with North Korea: What South Korea Could Learn from Latin America

Social tensions between South and North Korea have escalated once again due to the sinking of the Cheonan. The two Koreas have remained technically at war with each other ever since the 1953 ceasefire ended the Korean War. If one considers the premise that their long-term struggle is a “cold civil war” with periodic “hot flashes,” then it could be argued that the protracted “civil wars” in Latin American countries like Colombia, Bolivia, etc. have followed similar patterns. However, the latter situation is now changing, and perhaps both Koreas could learn something from new developments regarding the implementation of Invincible Defense Technology (IDT) in Latin America.

The Invincible Defense Technology is a field-tested, practical approach to world peace and national defense – an approach validated by more than 50 replications and 23 studies published in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals. It is a direct technological application of the most advanced discoveries in the fields of quantum mechanics, neuroscience, and human consciousness. The approach calls for the immediate establishment of large national groups of peace-creating experts practicing specific “technologies of consciousness” that have been scientifically shown to neutralize acute ethnic, political, and religious tensions that fuel violence, terrorism, and social conflict.

Four countries in Latin America are now in the process of deploying IDT. They are establishing “Prevention Wings of the Military” – large groups of soldiers who have been trained in these technologies of consciousness, including the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi program. At least one of these Prevention Wings will consist of 3,000 military personnel. Although details are still being finalized, the leader of the Latin American TM organization has provided the two accompanying photographs of one of the Prevention Wings for publication.

In addition, another Latin American country has decided to implement Consciousness-Based Education, which utilizes the same technologies of consciousness applied in IDT, throughout the national school system. Furthermore, the Brazilian government is training 1.5 million of its citizens in these technologies. And civilian groups in Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, The Netherlands (Holland), Trinidad and Tobago, already are staffing fully operational IDT systems.

Scientific research has confirmed that large groups of peace-creating experts practicing the TM and TM-Sidhi program together can create measurable positive change in the surrounding population, including reductions in crime, violence, war and terrorism. The underlying mechanism appears to be a field effect of consciousness in which collective coherence within the group spills over into the surrounding population, dissolving the buildup of racial, religious, and political tensions in society that fuels the outbreak of violence. To create this effect on the national level, research shows that a country must maintain a TM-Sidhi group of at least the square root of one percent of its population. The powerful coherence generated by such groups defuses enmity so that no enemies arise, thereby leading to a more invincible nation.

Links to previous articles in Korean publications about IDT are available at: http://davidleffler.com/links-worldwide-s-z/#South_Korea.

Here is an example of how to calculate the size of these groups. According to Wikipedia, the country in Latin America with the largest population is Brazil. In The World Factbook, the CIA gives Brazil’s population as 198,739,269, which when multiplied by 1% equals 1,987,393. The square root of 1,987,393 is 1,410. Therefore, if the military of Brazil wanted to become invincible, it would need to maintain a minimum of 1,410 Invincible Defense Technology (IDT) experts. The US would need 1,800 experts. A Military Prevention Wing of 3,000 soldiers well exceeds the square root of one percent of the population of any Latin American country. So the military leaders organizing the new Prevention Wing pictured above, and those in other countries who have launched earlier such projects, are to be congratulated for their wisdom of deploying a military strategy of “overwhelming force” to ensure invincibility for their countries.

Sometimes major discoveries take time to be fully accepted and used. Nevertheless, these examples in human history should be a lesson so as to avoid committing new mistakes. Let us recall that history is made by those who, in life, think beyond their contemporaries.

– Lt. Gen. Tobias Dai, (Ret.)
Former Defense Minister of Mozambique

picture of Gen. Villamil I am currently working with an international group of generals and defense experts that advocates Invincible Defense Technology. Our goals are twofold: to establish a new, larger and more powerful coherence group in Ecuador that will meditate and create societal coherence in support of the new government; to create the conditions necessary for economic and social progress that will lead Ecuador out of “underdevelopment” by 2025. Our strategy is to make Ecuador “invincible” in the sense that it will no longer have any enemies. No enemies, whether foreign or domestic means – no war or terrorism.

Lt. Gen. José Martí Villamil de la Cadena (Ret.) Former Vice-Minister of Defense of Ecuador

Countries that have implemented IDT have based their defense on the Unified Field of all the laws of nature. According to the Harvard-trained physicist Dr. John Hagelin, the technology of the unified field is a thousand million million times more powerful than the nuclear force. Yet it is inherently safe, despite its power, because it is based on the application of a completely holistic level of natural law. Years from now, in retrospect, it is likely that this development may have far more historical significance than the US military’s Manhattan Project quest to develop nuclear weapons.

Despite the extensive scientific research validating the efficacy of IDT, as well as the results of field tests by the militaries of Mozambique and Ecuador presented at the International Sociological Association Research Committee 01 Seoul National University & Korea Military Academy International Conference on Armed Forces & Conflict Resolution in a Globalized World, the South Korean National Parliament Memorial Grand Hall and the Korea Institute for Defense Analyses (KIDA), South Korea has still not tried IDT. Perhaps in the future the predicted successes of the various Military Prevention Wings in Latin America will inspire South Korean leaders to deploy IDT after they endure another crisis like the sinking of the Cheonan. But it would make more sense for them to act now by preventing the danger before it arises – and before the crisis escalates into another full-blown and very hot “civil war” potentially worse than that of 1950-53.
